What is Cheers to the Land?
Cheers to the Land is a collaboration between Oregon’s great craft beverage makers and Oregon Agricultural Trust (OAT). Each year, OAT invites brewers around the state to create new beverages with ingredients grown on Oregon farms. The brews are released on National Farmer’s day and we celebrate throughout the month with events as well as opportunities to buy the products in stores.
Cheers to the Land highlights the importance of protecting farm and ranch land across Oregon, which is being lost at an alarming rate: between just 2017-2022, Oregon lost 660,000 acres, or 4%, of its ag land from production. OAT is a statewide nonprofit land trust that partners with farmers and ranchers to permanently protect agricultural land for the benefit of Oregon’s economy, community, and landscapes.
